Activities

While a stay in Mango Grove at Bancal River is perfect for doing nothing, there are still activities we’ve lined up for you to do. (Just in case all the stillness and quiet get to your city souls.) All you need to do is ask.

Do a farm tour. We can take you around our farms and show you how to grow herbs and vegetables; raise pigs and chickens (and even tilapia); and care for fruit trees and edible flowers.

Take cooking classes. Head to our kitchen and learn how to make easy farm-to-fork dishes. You may book private or group classes.

Enjoy Bancal River. It’s one of the prettiest and most serene rivers in the country, and it’s just in our backyard! You may kayak in it, go fishing, swim, sunbathe or go on picnics on its bank. We have river marshals on duty.

Practice your aim. Our Aeta friends let our guests use their bows and arrows for aim practice. We have a target range out front.

Meditate at sunrise. Or any other time of the day; whatever rocks your boat. Our meditation hut has a great view of Bancal river even after sunrise, after all. Sometimes, we invite yoga teachers to hold classes, too.

See the local sites. We can take you to the wet market for some shopping; or go on a hike up Mt. Tapulao; take a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Botolan; and–everyone’s favorite–hop on a banca and go on a tour of some of Zambales’s beautiful beaches.
