We are proud of the fact that we serve guests farm-to-fork dishes; our vegetables and most of our fruits are grown right in our farms. (We actually pick the vegetables for your salad less than an hour before serving them on your table; the tarragon for your tea, we pick the leaves within minutes of giving you a hot cup.) Walk through our farm and you’ll see, among many others, all kinds of herbs (such as the aforementioned tarragon, rosemary, thyme, mint, basil), eggplants, okra, ampalaya, peppers, carrots, kasuy, lettuce, squash, mabolo fruit (of the kamagong tree), and, of course, if it’s the season for it, sweet, juicy mangoes.
All this wouldn’t have been possible without help and support from Toshiba Philippines. They sponsored the building of our 1,000-square meter farm, where–apart from planting the food we feed our guests–we teach the farmers in our community how to efficiently grow crops. What they learn in the mini farm (okay, it’s not so mini), they apply to their own plots of land within the property.
